Centre For Seniors (CFS) at Junction 8 operates as Singapore's dedicated non-profit social service agency from #10-02 in the office tower, serving the nation's senior community since 2006 with comprehensive programs that promote total well-being across vocational, financial, and psycho-social dimensions. Founded with charities status and strategic positioning next to Bishan MRT station, this organization addresses one of society's most significant demographic transitions by helping seniors remain meaningfully engaged in work and life through evidence-based programs, professional guidance, and community support that recognizes aging as an opportunity for continued contribution rather than withdrawal from productive society.
The center provides extensive services including employment support through job briefings and intergenerational workplace consulting, educational workshops covering relationships, career transitions, health and fitness, plus passion and hobby development that prepare seniors holistically for major life changes. Specialized programs encompass mental well-being courses addressing common psychological challenges, caregiver training workshops providing practical eldercare skills, technology education building confidence in mobile applications and digital security, plus retirement planning that extends beyond financial considerations to encompass lifestyle, purpose, and community engagement. Additional offerings include the collaborative 'Life Transitions' podcast series with VintageRadio.sg and ongoing research initiatives that advance understanding of successful aging in Singapore's rapidly evolving society.
Operating Monday-Friday 9am-6pm from Junction 8's accessible office tower location, Centre For Seniors provides convenient coordination services for Singapore's growing elderly population seeking meaningful engagement opportunities and professional development support. The organization's comprehensive approach addresses immediate practical needs while building long-term capabilities for independence, purpose, and community contribution that challenge traditional notions of retirement and aging. Whether seniors require employment assistance, educational enrichment, caregiving preparation, or holistic life transition support, Centre For Seniors Junction 8 delivers expert coordination, evidence-based programs, and compassionate community that empowers Singapore's elderly population to thrive with dignity, purpose, and active participation in the nation's continued growth and development.

A good place for seniors to learn things but too concentrated on "retirement" and taking seniors as "seniors" which somehow makes seniors feel ageism is their public enemy.

A central location to attend courses and right off a bus interchange and mrt line. If you are interested only in the space, then there is alce. But the place looks worn and run down.

It's a central location for attending courses, right off a bus interchange and an MRT line. If you are interested only in the space, then that's all there is. But the place looks worn and run down.

I attended Essential Digital Marketing Skills for Seniors which I found the course is thoughtfully designed as a way to keep up with the digital work. The trainer was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. I gained not only technical knowledge but also confidence to apply these skills in real life situations. Thank you CFS.

Good and affordable (after NSA subsidies) training for oldies but goodies. The trainer, Laurence Low, is knowledgeable on digital marketing and selflessly shares his experience with us.

It’s a good platform for seniors to learn and stay engaged. However, the strong focus on 'retirement' and constantly labeling participants as 'seniors' can unintentionally reinforce ageist stereotypes, which may make some feel defined more by their age than their potential.

A very good location for attending courses for senior citizens. Easy access by buses n mrt plus with a lot of food establishment nearby. I attended The Befriender Course conducted by Sandra as well as Medical Escort Concierge Course conducted by Desmond Tong from Bergenia. Both Sandra and Desmond are friendly and helpful.Another thing is that this Centre even provide 2 tea break with coffee , tea , cakes or sandwiches for classes running from 9am to 5pm.
