Yesterday bought 600g of Apple wood bak gua at Junction 8, when I reached home I get 1 slice to eat & I realised the bk was very hard.. I was thinking maybe its only a slice but after eating the 2nd n 3rd slice I realised the hardness is quite consistent, can't chew n swallow :( I used to get from Ang mo kio branch n never experienced this before. Not sure if it's CNY period; the volume had compromised the quality.. now my kids n elderly in my family can't consume.. it's wasted 😔

Extremely bad service at J8 outlet on 26/1/24. I bought 1kg of bbq pork at $70+ and paid with bch vouchers bought from safra. To my astonishment, the lady with foreign accent refused to give me ang bao pack although I have purchased beyond the min $50 to get 1. Her reasoning was I used vouchers so it's not equivalent to cash purchase & I get no more gift item not even an ang pao pack. But i don't see any notice on this in the shop. This is during festive cny period yet she can be so insensitive & ridiculous. I will feedback to safra also to tell them the bch vouchers they sell are not as good as cash.

Out of a sudden craving last week decided to drop by to buy some bak kwa. Have not been to this brand for some time. Unfortunately, eating it reminds me of why I stayed away. They add a lot of MSG and I get really thirsty after eating it. I have tried other brands before and it is not as bad as this. Plus the meat is on the harder side.

Run in a very unprofessional manner. The staff told me they close at 11 pm the week before CNY. When I arrived at 10.30 pm, they were cleaning up and very uninterested to serve. Then they told me their system has shut down. If you close earlier, just say so. This is modern day customer service.

Her reasoning was that because I used vouchers, it was not equivalent to a cash purchase, and I would not receive any gift item, not even an ang bao pack. I will also provide feedback to Safra to inform them that the BCH vouchers they sell are not as good as cash.

Yesterday, I bought 600g of Applewood bak gua at Junction 8. When I reached home, I got one slice to eat and realized the bak gua was very hard. I was thinking maybe it was only a slice, but after eating the second and third slices, I realized the hardness was quite consistent. I couldn't chew and swallow it. I used to get it from the Ang Mo Kio branch and never experienced this before. I'm not sure if it's the CNY period; perhaps the increased volume has compromised the quality. Now my kids and the elderly in my family cannot consume it. It's wasted.
