Singapore Heart Foundation Heart Wellness Centre at Bishan represents Singapore's only structured community-based cardiac rehabilitation program, providing essential cardiovascular health services and support within the accessible environment of Junction 8. Located at 9 Bishan Place and operating by appointment at 6354 9348/63, this specialized wellness center serves patients who have completed hospital-based cardiac rehabilitation as well as individuals at risk of heart disease due to diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other cardiovascular risk factors. As one of three conveniently located Heart Wellness Centres across Singapore, the Bishan location ensures residents throughout the northern and central regions have access to professional cardiac care and prevention programs that support long-term heart health maintenance.
The comprehensive multidisciplinary program includes exercise testing to assess individual conditioning and endurance levels, followed by personalized exercise programs designed by qualified physiotherapists, along with nutrition consultations provided by registered dietitians and educational health talks that address risk factor modification including smoking cessation. Highly subsidized exercise sessions make cardiac rehabilitation accessible to diverse economic backgrounds, while the structured approach ensures participants receive evidence-based care that addresses dietary habits, physical activity levels, and lifestyle modifications essential for cardiovascular health improvement. The program requires medical referral from polyclinics or family doctors certifying fitness for community-based exercise, ensuring appropriate medical oversight for all participants.
The strategic location within Junction 8 provides exceptional accessibility for patients combining cardiac wellness appointments with other essential activities, while the appointment-based system ensures personalized attention and appropriate medical supervision for each participant's specific health needs. With cardiovascular disease remaining a leading health concern in Singapore's aging population, the Heart Wellness Centre serves as a crucial community resource that bridges hospital-based treatment with ongoing community support for cardiac patients and at-risk individuals. Through affordable, professionally supervised programs that emphasize long-term lifestyle modification and health maintenance, the centre continues to demonstrate Singapore Heart Foundation's commitment to making cardiac rehabilitation accessible, effective, and integrated within community healthcare delivery systems.
I have learned CPR from your organisation and the instructors were generally very professional. However, my latest experience was a NIGHTMARE. While I passed my assessment on the first try, I will never return to the Singapore Heart Foundation for my CPR qualification again. The chief instructor was super passive-aggressive and he made the learning environment very hostile for me. No learner should undergo this when learning how to save lives. I was initially very reluctant to sign up for further first aid courses in case I run into this particular individual, which contradicts your mission to save lives. However, I will NOT let your bullies stop me from getting certified and saving lives. I will simply go elsewhere. Get your act together and stop bullying learners!

Too many fundraisers situated outside Kent Ridge MRT trying to canvass donations aggressively by following passer-bys. Not a very ethical way especially this is a voluntary welfare organisation.

90% of donations enter directors’ pockets but their “volunteers” love to be passive-aggressive and mock those who do not donate, particularly those working hard to beg past 10pm at tampines bus interchange

First time coming for BCLS and AED course at SHF. The instructors all are well educated to train us. Have a good day practicing and refresh my memory on BCLS and AED course. Thank you for the instructors team.

What a life saver!!
I was organising an outing in a distant location with slower access to professional first responder help. One of our participants mentioned that s/he had some heart palpitations. We realised it would be appropriate to be equipped with a AED just in case.
I didn't know where to get one until I found SHF.
All went well for our outing. Being prepared was assuring!
THANK YOU SINGAPORE HEART FOUNDATION!! What an excellent help you all are to society!!
