Served cold kueh. Asked for hot ones, they said they didn't have any. I bought three kueh and asked for them to be put in a box, but they said it would cost an extra 30 cents. I also wanted an extra fork as we were two people sharing, but they said no. The taste of the kueh? Cold kueh with thick skin. Do you think it will taste good?

Nam Kee owners need to monitor this outlet and its business practices. The 2 girls working at this stall are terrible. I wanted 3 big paus and 1 red bean pau. They said that if I bought 4 big paus, they could be put in a box, but I don't need to eat so many. They said 3 big paus + 1 red bean pau couldn't be put in a box, only plastic bags. What kind of logic is that? In the end, they used 4 plastic bags (!) to pack my 3+1. When I left, I overheard them complain in dialect about me not buying 4 big paus. What kind of business practice is this?

Here's the edited review: The management definitely needs to come down anonymously to see for themselves why the ratings are so lousy. Needless to say, I could not stand the bespectacled lady's service attitude. Her behavior is too 嚣张. Yesterday when I was there buying a few paus and a few Siew Mais, I requested the staff to pack all in a box as I did not wish to waste so many small plastic bags. I was told, '包 is not 烧卖,烧卖 is not 包.' Do I need her to teach me this!!

The saleswoman wearing spectacles was extremely disrespectful to my mom, who was inquiring if the Singapore coupons could be redeemed at this shop. She cut her off mid-sentence and attended to the next person without answering her question. What's wrong with asking if we can use the vouchers? Why do you have to discriminate? No Pau is worth such disrespectful behaviour. Management, are you waiting until your Google reviews drop to 1 and lead to the closure of your shop (and outlets) before you do something? From what I can see, this is not new information. You've had a string of bad reviews for months. Do not recommend, do not go there.

Look at the size of the glutinous rice that costs $1.60. So pathetic! It doesn't even have any dried shrimp, minced meat, fried scallions, or peanuts. Just pure lumpy glutinous rice with a few thin slices of mushrooms. My last visit.

Every time I buy the soon koey and yam cake, they don't include the sweet sauce and chili unless I ask. They quickly pack, seemingly to shortchange customers. How to eat? Bland taste without any sauce. Also cold and hard. The little pieces of yam in the yam cake are also hard. Disappointing.

Wanted to try their Amy Yip ba bao, but it was sold out. So I purchased da bao, char siew bao, and other baos to try. My conclusion is that their da bao is not bad because the dough skin is not too thick and the portion is just nice. The rest have too-thick dough, and the ingredients are too little.

My order is simple: 1 big pau, 1 glutinous rice, and 3 char siew bao. The counter lady offered me siew mai, which I said "No" to. Against my order, she swapped my char siew bao with siew mai and charged me too. I confronted the lady again. What a mess.

I am a regular of this brand of pau. Their quality is always great. This morning, I went to their Bishan store and bought six of each tau sa and lotus as a gift. I asked the female staff member for a pen to write on the box, but she flew into a long-winded speech in Mandarin, very rudely telling me the differences between the pau. I told her it was a gift, but she just carried on. If the franchisee reads this review, they should teach their staff some manners and courtesy.

The service from the young lady at Bishan Junction 8 was terrible. When I asked for more sweet sauce for the soon kueh I bought, stating I didn't want chili sauce, she barely responded to me. Upon returning home, I searched for the sweet sauce and found only a packet that looked used and leftover. Even after digging, there wasn't enough for four pieces of soon kueh 😰. What kind of standard is this? If sweet sauce is so hard to provide, then please don't sell food that needs to be eaten with it. How can one eat it without? The picture shows the amount of sweet sauce given in that packet, which I painstakingly dug out, only to find it was barely enough for even one soon kueh.
