Auntie with the specs and mask manning the herbal drinks section should be sent for another service training. She was rude when asked kindly what are the options for charcoal pill and she took out a lot of boxes that are bigger sized, naturally I responded that I really don’t need such a big box.
She widened her eyes and said “No I’m showing you!”. She only calmed down when I spoke to her slowly, that I’m asking her for advice. Likely won’t go there when I see her working. I don’t care if she’s having a bad moment just before I came, you don’t have to treat others this way when you are working in this line. Good riddance.

Poor customer service Sharon had delivered at Bishan junction 8 to customer. Customer actually bought a dozen bottles of chicken essence worth $26, she literally used a very tiny small plastic bag meant for a 500ml chrysanthemum drink to hold the 2 bulky box of chicken essence, leaving very little room for only 2 fingers to go through the plastic to lift the purchase. Can't even grip the chicken essence boxes properly with a hand (5 fingers). Explained that plastic bag is too small to carry the bully box of chicken essence and needs to take mrt or bus home so it is hard to grip products while standing on the crowded train or bus. She refused to give a proper plastic bag after listening. High handed attitude.
So sad that first time met this type of unreasonable sales staff. I have been a customer with hock hua for more than 30years. So decided not to purchase since safety might be an issue on the train or bus for me (the customer), wanted to return the goods on the spot (have not left the shop yet). Upon seeing this, a male staff stepped in to change the plastic bag to an environmentally friendly bigger bag to contain the bulky purchases. Why other Hock Hua could straight away give me (customer the same recycabled bag) when purchasing chicken essence boxes without asking, this particular Bishan Junction 8 shop had to provide poor customer service and making customer disappointed, then give proper packaging? I wonder.

I went to Junction 8 HockHua store this afternoon at 1.17 pm to buy 2 bottles of China Barley Drink and I noted there was a price increase from $2 to $2.20 each , 2 bottles means $4 to $4.40, so I asked the cashier why there is an increase and 10% increase is a lot and she answered back rudely and sarcastically that I should cook myself if I found it too expensive , this kind of rude and bad attitude staff is not fit to serve the customers . Singapore current inflation is about 4% and recent GST increase is 1 % but many other stores are calling for unreasonable 10-30% increase in consumer food price , perhaps government could look into such stores and assess the price increases .

I went to the Junction 8 HockHua store this afternoon at 1:17 PM to buy two bottles of China Barley Drink. I noticed a price increase from $2 to $2.20 each, meaning two bottles now cost $4.40, up from $4. I asked the cashier why there was an increase, as a 10% increase seemed significant. She responded rudely and sarcastically that I should cook it myself if I found it too expensive. This kind of rude and unprofessional staff is not fit to serve customers. Singapore's current inflation is about 4%, and the recent GST increase is 1%. However, many other stores are implementing unreasonable 10-30% increases in consumer food prices. Perhaps the government could look into such stores and assess these price increases.
