Need to brush up on drink preparation, especially hot beverages. The balance of sweetness was off. Coffee was only warm when served. Not 'fun' at all.

The eggs are super low quality compared to Ya Kun eggs, which are large and firm. Not sure why a competing chain would use inferior eggs. This is the kind you get at cheap coffee shops. You can also see many other reviewers giving very low ratings for eggs and general food quality.

Casual ambience. Order, then pick up when your buzzer goes off. The service staff circulates to collect cutlery once they see you've finished your food. Quite efficient. I imagine this improves turnover. Although it is a small outlet, many come for takeout. Otah and cheese soft bun is a fun combination. However, I am not fond of the spread used.

Had a very unpleasant experience at Fun Toast today. I ordered a Yuan Yang set that was supposed to include Kaya and peanut butter buns, but when it arrived, the buns didn't look anything like the photo, and I didn't see any Kaya on them. I ordered Kopi C Kosong, but the lady who took my order apparently misheard me and gave me Kopi Kosong. After I realized that my drink order was wrong, I went to ask her, and she was so defensive and insisted that I had ordered Kopi Kosong. She didn't even bother or want to hear me out. I wanted to either ask if it was possible to just add evaporated milk into my cup of Kopi and top up if necessary, or simply order another cup. However, she had no interest in whatever I was trying to say and just turned away. While dining there, another staff member, who was probably on her break, sat down near us and started clipping her nails! Her nail clippings were flying all over the floor behind us. Thankfully, the other set of Kaya Butter Toast and Chee Cheong Fun were okay. Given the poor hygiene practices of this place, I will definitely not return.

Staff aren't the friendliest. I'm not expecting Michelin service at a regular toast shop, but they literally stare at you while you decide on your order. Heads up: the French toast set they offer does not come with eggs. What's worse is that their French toast tasted like it was just dipped in honey, not eggs.

Trays stink, even though we are here early in the morning. Ordered Chee cheong fun curry chicken, and they wanted to charge extra 50 cents for the sweet sauce that usually comes with ccf.

I always come here for my breakfast or tea. Unfortunately, this is going to be my last visit. The food quality prepared here has been deteriorating a lot over the years. The eggs are served at room temperature. The kaya left the group chat. The milk tea... they might as well serve me Chinese medicinal soup. Fun Toast, please pull your socks up for this outlet. It's embarrassing.

Food is okay. The place is hot (outdoor area), and trays are strewn all over the place because staff are not diligently collecting them. What is unacceptable here is the quality of service. It is absolutely preposterous. She mixed up my order and still yelled blatantly at me, in my face, "你没有跟我讲!"—even though she had clarified and repeated my order back to me just less than a minute ago. In general, the tone of the service staff here is rude, condescending, and offensive. I have been to other Fun Toast outlets. The one at PLQ was my favorite when I was living at Paya Lebar. However, the J8 outlet is truly awful, and I will boycott it. There are many other kopi and toast chains here, like Ya Kun, Toast Box, and even nearby coffee shops. I definitely will not be back.

Extremely poor service by the staff in black uniform, as seen in the picture. He took my order with visible unhappiness. I didn't know they didn't have Milo, but they had Choco Funtastic. He then kept murmuring, 'No Milo, no Milo.' No alternative was given. Then, still very pissed off, he clicked the POS after taking my order and still showed a black face. When I collected my drink, he shouted, 'Eating here or take away?' When I said 'take away,' he took the number pager from my hand and tossed it from the drink collection point to the POS counter. LOL, imagine if he hadn't aimed properly and hurt his staff or a customer! Truly the worst experience of my life.

My first choice was under renovation, and I was in a rush. That’s the only reason I walked into this chaos. I ordered just a simple bowl of laksa. It took 24 minutes to arrive, and only after I chased them. The laksa? Bland, completely lacking salt. The egg? Overcooked, with those unappetizing black rings around the yolk. As for the shrimp — one came with nothing but a sad, broken tail. But the final straw? I found a piece of plastic packaging floating in my bowl. FunToast, you’ve officially set the bar for disappointment.
