We were there for lunch on a Monday. Was surprise that there was a $36.80 set menu for lunch. The meal consists of an appetiser, three dishes, two bowls of rice and hot tea. We can opt for brown rice without additional charges. It was value for money
The herbal was as good as it was before. Lettuce was of good portion for two to share, the hot plate tofu with minced pork was delicious. And the appetiser was really hot and crispy when served. It was quite a lot to eat for two.
Service was good and prompt. The servers provides clear explanation of the different lunch promotions. Would definitely return for more of such wonderful dining experience

I highly recommended to visit this restaurant if you wish to try well-prepared and delicious roasted ducks. This is a restaurant chain famous for their roasted duck. There are a lot of outlets at different malls, including Lot 1, Northpoint City, Causeway Point, and much more.
This is the first time I have come to the Bishan Junction 8 branch to try the Dian Xiao Er here for a Chinese New Year lunch with colleagues. As usual, the Dang Gui Duck is always very flavourful with crispy skin.
We did a Lo Hei Yusheng as well. The staff was really helpful with the Lo Hei as well as saying all the lucky chinese phrases.

Nice delicious juicy duck; recommend to always get it when here. The crispy skin on top of a tender duck meat always brings a smile to whoever that has the fortune to eat it. The pig intestine soup was very rich and flavorful too, though i was told its a seasonal dish. We also had the sambal Kang Kong, mmm.. ok lor. Pleasant dish.

Pretty crowded during dinner. Always love their herbal dang gui duck. Never failed us. The only thing we have complains is the salted egg veg, which doesn’t taste salted egg. Very bland. XO fried rice was ok but does not taste XO like other places had. The appetizer duck wing is very yummy but a little bit too salty, too much powder. Otherwise, just go for the duck and spicy chicken which is gooood.

I usually takeout the duck rice whenever I’m in the area. Huge disappointment this time when I got the black chicken double boiled soup. I was given literally two tiny wings which has barely any meat in there. Ofc the essence is in the broth but it didnt even fill half of the takeout bowl. Whats worse is the cling wrap they used to prevent leakage got dipped INTO the soup, not me eating microplastics.

Dian Xiao Er at Junction 8 is a delightful restaurant known for its well-prepared and flavorful dishes. Specializing in traditional Chinese cuisine, this restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
The ambiance at Dian Xiao Er is warm, featuring decor that reflects traditional Chinese aesthetics combined with modern comforts. The overall environment is perfect for both family gatherings and casual meals with friends.
The menu at Dian Xiao Er features a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, but personally I love their Duck Porridge and Fish Maw Soup.
The Duck Porridge is a standout dish, known for its rich and savory flavor. The porridge is smooth and creamy, providing a perfect base for the tender and flavorful duck pieces. The dish is well-seasoned and offers a comforting and satisfying meal.
The Fish Maw Soup is another must-try. It is delicately flavored and packed with nutritious ingredients. The fish maw is cooked to perfection, offering a pleasing texture that complements the rich, clear broth. This soup is both nourishing and delicious.
The service at Dian Xiao Er is excellent. The staff are attentive and friendly. They ensure that diners are well taken care of.
