Definitely a very decent bowl of laksa, even though they initially forgot the laksa leaves. Service was non-existent; I had to ask for them. The tables are so small and squeezy. While I understand the overcrowding of tables and chairs is to maximize profit, it definitely comes at the cost of a better atmosphere for patrons.

Although we live in Bishan, we can count on one hand how many times we've visited this place in the past 6 years. It feels a bit cramped, especially recently during the 5-person dining restrictions. We came here so my husband could try the egg ham cheese toast, but we couldn't find it on the menu. Instead, we ended up having the sandwich and boluo burger. I didn't realize that different branches would have different menus, as I'd previously had the egg ham cheese toast at the Novena branch. The cashier seemed a bit rushed when taking our order, but I can understand the fast pace of this workplace. Overall, it was okay, but perhaps not the best place for a relaxed coffee and toast. The sandwich was just okay. The bun of the boluo burger was very sweet, and the burger itself was also okay.

Worst Toast Box outlet. They don’t update availability on Grab and sneakily cancel half the order, trying to force us to accept this instead of fully rejecting orders they can’t fulfill. It took me 30 minutes to get a human from Grab support to manually cancel this nonsense.

Coffee was standard. As usual, it was very crowded, as people are looking for a place to rest and drink coffee without breaking the bank. Cleanliness can be better. Staff are busy preparing the food and coffee.

Maybe the whole team is new. They can't handle regular orders. I ordered my drink warm, but it came piping hot. I wanted my eggs steeped longer. I think they took new, raw eggs to steep, so they turned out the same as their regular eggs. The branches at Toa Payoh and most other places don't have issues understanding me. Disappointing.

The worst experience ever. Nothing traditional about their toast. Kaya toast that didn't have even a tiny taste of kaya. With increased price, the least they could do was provide friendly service and quality food. It's a disgrace to all kopitiams serving kaya toast. Also discovered that the set is cheaper at other Toastbox outlets. Enough said. Never again.

I had a great experience at Toast Box Junction 8. Thanks to the excellent service provided by the two guys, one taking the order and the other preparing coffee (小巍 & 瑞硩, both of whom are there most of the time). They were incredibly fast and efficient in handling customer orders, ensuring that everyone was served promptly even during busy hours. Their professionalism and friendly attitude made the visit even more pleasant. Kudos to them for their outstanding service – a real asset to the team!

I've been patronizing Toast Box for at least 8 years. The prices have been increased several times over the years.
The last two times Toast Box increased prices were increasingly ridiculous. The price increase in 2024 was already quite a "hoo-ha," yet this year (2025), Toast Box still increased their menu prices?!
I'm all set to look for a replacement.
