My go to for some comfort noodle soup. Soup base is tasty and the texture of the noodles is very chewy. We love the service here from the friendly staff, especially David. He’s always around to check on the customers. Very pleasant place to dine.

The foods are great. My girls love their tomato soup with noodle. I love their side dishes . The price is reasonable and it's tasty! Their service is great too. The staff responds fast to our needs. They are very friendly too. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience there.

Ordered SG Favorite for $13.80++ which translate to $16.50. Comes with pork, taopok and mince meat. I got extra hot which is misleading since the chinese is little spice and at the same time it is the original spice level. Anyhow it was more spicy then average xiao la and numb. So the english description seems to be the most accurate. Pork was very tender. Taopok soaks up the mala soup. Mince meat wise i feel like i should have added the soup into it rather than meat into soup. Taste wise definitely can be additive but abit one dimension if there is some sauce it will be good? Or am i suppose to dip into the mince meat? Really depend on how you look at it. It is a lot more expensive than other noodles but at the same time it is slightly cheaper than weight in mala.

Food standard have dropped so drastically it does not taste like it’s early years. The meat in the noodles is not properly treated with so much hair and the eggplant side dish has too much oil. The eggplant looks “old” and de coloured

The venue feels warm and crowded with customers. I ordered the new dry chili noodle but initially asked for Maggie noodles; however, it was served with Mixian instead—decided to just eat it anyway. The dish required thorough stirring, but the overall flavor balance was off. After finishing the noodles, I noticed the ikan bilis remained at the bottom, and eating them individually was quite salty. The pork lard wasn’t to my taste; one bite released an overwhelming amount of oil. The soup lacked flavor and wasn’t served hot. As for the beef noodle, it was fairly average.

Went to try their new limited bowl called Gym Gym Bowl, the protein portion is alot just as promised! Its served with konjac noodles, its chewy and quite special. 3 different protein options to choose from, i got the chicken + beef, with tomato soup and 3 spicy. perfect for a guilt-free meal 😋😋👍🏻

My First Visit to Tamjai Samgor at Bishan – A Special Mention for Exceptional Service This was my first time trying Tamjai Samgor at Bishan, and before I even get to rating the food, I must highlight the outstanding service provided by one of the crew members, David. From the moment my sister and I were standing outside the shop, David approached us and patiently explained the ordering system. What stood out was that his helpfulness didn’t stop with us, he was constantly moving in and out of the restaurant, attentively checking on every customers needs. He took the time to ask customers if the food was too spicy or suited their taste, and even offered cups of water to those who didn’t order drinks, something rare these days, especially when many places would rather charged. David's genuine attentiveness, proactive attitude, and excellent customer care truly deserve recognition. In a time when good service can be hard to come by, he really sets a high standard. I sincerely hope the management considers awarding him – he’s a gem of a service staff.

Saw served by a lady with a high bun. She displayed genuine sincerity & friendliness in her approach towards customers. Will love to visit again. However the cramp sitting arrangement & the warm atmopshere even though fans were installed around make it rather uncomfortable to dine in.

I am a regular at TamJai SamGor Mixian since they opened at Junction 8 Bishan. The casual diner offers food that is tasty, generous portion and affordable. TamJai SamGor have a weekday lunch value set that is a great deal! What keeps me coming back every week is David, a kind and hardworking uncle who is the beacon of service staff for all F&B outlets in Singapore. Not only is he efficient in his work, he is always friendly and helpful, even during peak hours. The best part about David is that he took the extra effort to remember what regular customer like me have for my taste preference in drinks. Thank you Uncle David, for your EXCELLENT SERVICE! 🥰👍👍👍Hope u stay healthy💪 !

Best eaten when freshly served hot 😂 When the sides got served, we were still eating our mixian (which I enjoyed a lot)! But then the sides (tufei chicken and chongqing chicken) weren’t that great to me, might be because they got cold quickly. +1 got the original taste tangy tomato in which I found the base nicer than mine. Nevertheless, the low spice tomato base I got was quite addicting - didn’t realise I finished my bowl with extra noodles till I finished it (yes, there is an option for more or less noodles) 😂 there’s also some options available to add on toppings to your noodles. The milk tea was alright. Got the duo combo which was ok, 2 mixian noodles + 2 sides + 2 drinks for $38 before GST Service charge if I remember correctly.
