The Loo Rou Fan (braised pork rice bowl) was passable, though not quite the authentic dish we expected. We were hoping the oyster Mee Sua would taste authentic, but not quite. Service was fast and friendly, and the price point was acceptable.

Ordered the following items: Oyster Mee Sua, Sesame Chicken Mee Sua, Salted Fried Chicken, Fried Oyster Mushroom, and Cold Black Tea. Oyster Mee Sua and Sesame Chicken Mee Sua were a good portion with a fair amount of oysters, enough for me. Sesame chicken was in large chunks and worth the money. The taste of the broth was not what we expected, but still good nonetheless. Salted Fried Chicken was one of the better dishes here: crispy, nicely marinated, and seasoned perfectly—not too much nor too little. In my opinion, it is better than Three Bowls 吃三碗. Fried Oyster Mushroom, however, was disappointing. First, the mushroom was not marinated well at all and tasted bland. Moreover, the batter did not adhere well to the mushroom, falling out as you chew into it. Lastly, it was quite oily and 腻. The "seasoning" powder dusted on the mushroom did not bring out any flavour at all. Lastly, the cold black tea tasted just like its name. Lightly sweetened, it was to my taste, and I found the drink quite refreshing after an oily meal. Price-wise, do note that the prices stated in the menu do not include service charge and GST. It was a bit strange to charge us for service when we had to order at the counter, and all they did was serve the food to our table... Perhaps they could consider continuing to charge service charge and let the waitress order our food, or remove the service charge and make it self-ordering/collection. Overall, it was a decent meal for lunch. Thank you!

One of the nicest Lu Rou Fan I’ve eaten in Singapore. I’ve eaten a lot, being a big fan of the dish. Although it’s not quite at the levels of Taiwan, given what Singapore has, this comes relatively close to the Taiwanese version. Loved the crispy and tasty batter on the mushroom. Their classic pork chop came as a surprise; they gave two pieces, as one piece would have been too small a portion for the price. Overall, decent portions for the price. I would come back, which is why I'm giving 5 stars for the food. Service was average, nothing out of the ordinary, coupled with a decent atmosphere.

Ordered the stewed meat rice, oyster mee sua, and the sweet potato fries. The taste and portion sizes were average; nothing wrong with them. But one good thing is that the food is served quite quickly, even during a full dinner service. Given the prices they are charging, I just wish that the flavours or the portion sizes could be improved, but otherwise, it was alright.

We got the set meal at $7.90 and topped up $1 for black tea. Now that I've looked at other reviews for this place, I realized there were additional service charges and GST on top of the listed prices. I do agree it's unusual to have to order at the counter and still be charged a service charge. The food was okay, but I will look more closely at the prices next time.

Overall, good and recommended! Food portion was generous. The service was better than expected! Atmosphere was great, quiet, and spacious. The only downside is the taste. The spices were more on the salty side. Great for people who like heavy taste, though.

When they say authentic, you have to try it. Not many customers in the shop doesn't mean the food is cmi; it's actually very nice! The meat is cooked right. The rice is not too wet. The TW sausage was a nice touch. The dessert was very good as well. Beancurd infused with boba: thumbs up! 👍

We’ve been coming here twice a month because we love the salted fried chicken with the lu rou fan; the pork belly pieces used to be generous and full of flavour. However, on our recent visit, we noticed the rice now only comes with sauce and no pork belly. We were told that pork belly is now a separate add-on at an extra cost, which was quite disappointing. The sausage slices have also become noticeably thinner. A real pity, as this used to be one of our favourite comfort meals.

My first and last time visiting this cafe. The food arrived less than a minute after I placed my order, which meant it could have been reheated, or already prepared and immediately dished out. However, the quality was really dismal. The fried food was obviously refried. The mee sua was very sweet and too salty. The same applied to the other dishes. We ordered the oyster mushroom, sesame chicken, and Taiwanese soup; all were too sweet and salty at the same time. The only good thing was the dessert, which was the bean curd and grass jelly. That was yummy. The service staff were pleasant and happy to serve, but the food was very disappointing.

The food was bad. The chicken chop was dry and hard. It was obviously refried and laced with a layer of salt. Not palatable. The cucumber salad is called zucchini salad, which is weird, but it tasted okay. $17+ for honey chicken chop rice and cucumber salad. Not worth it. The staff are trying their best, but I won't be back.
