Paid a visit to try out this place have heard a lot about it.
Visited on a weekend lunchtime and the place was quite empty. I guess I was lucky because people started streaming in after I ordered and took my seat.
It's a bit of mix and match concept where you choose a size and then you start selecting the main and the sides. I ordered a regular one which allowed me to pick 1 main and 3 sides.
Was deciding between the BBQ and fried but ended up taking the fried, and picked 3 sides.
Ordering to collection was quite a breeze and fast too.
The portion actually looked quite decent for the price. The chicken portion was quite big, the sides were a bit small but overall still sufficient for me.
First the chicken, the meat was juicy and the chicken was quite thick, but it wasn't really crispy and was served pretty lukewarm. Was kinda disappointed there was no crunch to it.
The sides were actually better than I expected. Okay the onsen egg is just a typical egg but the begedil did surprise me, loved the flavours! The curry vegetable was also quite delicious and well was thinking would be better if I had some rice to go along with it.
Overall the meal was not bad but not fascinating. Also got the sweet sambal was good but the quantity a bit too little for the big piece of chicken. I know had to pay for extras so I just ate whatever I had.
Decently priced in a mall but hope for improvements.
It's not so bad for a 3, I think its more of a 3.5.

Please bear with me - this is going to be a long one.
I’ve been meaning to try this spot but didn’t think the $10.90 onwards price tag was going to be worth it - I just assumed it was another overhyped F&B joint, and I’m basically paying for the unit’s overheads instead of quality food that I could probably get at a nearby coffeeshop for maybe half the price for a weeknight dinner. Decided to try (takeaway) today ‘cos I couldn’t figure out what to eat.
First of all - the packaging in itself is genius. The rice/chicken is separate from the sides, and the sambal is in its own packaging too. Love!
I was shocked by the portion - I got the eggplant sambal (a bit on the sweet side, but delicious nonetheless) and begedil (a very decent size, soft on the inside and crispy outside). The signature bbq chicken was also an incredibly generous portion, really flavourful, and the thai fragrant rice was topped with a good amount of curry (would have loved a littttle more of both the rice and curry!). I wished the belachan was on the spicier side to really get that “kick” out of the meal (or perhaps an option for something spicier, maybe?). It doesn’t feel too oily either or give you that horrible “food handover” feel you get after a super heavy meal.
Every single dish/condiment was so full of flavour that I can’t wait to buy this again/try the rest of the menu.
The price tag is well worth it for the quality, flavour and portion size - can’t say the same for a lot of other F&Bs in Singapore!
(P.s my photos don’t do the dish ANY justice!!)

first time trying out!!! love the portion & ambience. bought the platter set for 2 which costs $26.90 (fried chicken, bbq chicken, 2 bowls of rice, lauk lodeh, sambal quail eggs, 2 spicy and sweet sambal each & 2 drinks) all i can say is, its worth it. portion is huge ! the jasmine black tea is just nice, not too sweet and not too bitter. am a picky eater but i love everything about it here. front staff was very welcoming and guiding us along the way when there was a crowd, and kitchen staff helped to carry another tray when i had 2 trays to bring to the table. will definitely come again and will recommend this plc to my friends too ! keep it up ☺️☺️☺️

Ordered regular grilled chicken with salted egg sauce +$0.50. For sides i got begedil, curry vege and brinjal for $11.40.
Definitely above average than your other nasi padang aka cai png. But at the same time it doesn't feel very nasi padang. They have things like coleslaw which I doubt i saw it at their closed down branch in sin ming area.
Their curry vege is very nice. Chicken is huge and tender, with sauce bringing up the taste. Brinjal is unique doesn't feels very eastern have the ratatouille feel not sure if this is a compliment. Begedil was good but i had better.
Anw just don't feel that the spirit of the founding store is here and the pricing is also very steep for cai png. You can get a 50% discount though if you join their membership. Food wise you definitely get something better than average but is it worth 100% more you have to pay for 2 veggies and one meat (and rice)?

The rendang here is very well cooked. Spice has good kick. We had the Rendang Beef & Chicken set. They were all very fragrant and tender. Sambal chili is potent. Good!

Must come to this place if you are looking for Halal Nasi Padang in Singapore. Tried their Red Balado Chicken Bowl, Green Sambal Salmon Bowl, and Black Kicap Sotong Bowl, everything is so good, the portions are generous, prices are worth it too. Highly recommended!

Amazing meal of Fried Chicken Bowl and Beef Rendang Bowl that was accompanied by Begedil (must have), Spicy Chinchalok Brinjal and Quail Egg Belado.
The Sambal Belacan was the bomb!
The portion could have been a bit bigger.
Our restaurant 'instructor' Lai Ying was a friendly welcome too helping technophobes like me navigate the ordering system.
Thank you for the lovely experience.

I would like to commend Ms Goh Fong Eng , for Going The Extra Mile For Service ( GEMS ) , when i came to dine at Serangoon BBQ And Curry @ Bishan Junction 8 on Monday 19 May 2025 @ 3.30 pm .
The reason i come down many times to have a delicious & satisfying meal , is the very good quality of their Beef Rendang , Otak Mackerel & Curry Vegetables .
The owner Eugene’s desire to preserve his parents legacy & receipe of Nasi Padang is a noble one !
I would highly recommend anyone who appreciates good tasty Nasi Padang , to come and try their Nasi Padang .

Amazing food, especially the BBQ chicken! Sayur lodeh, Quail eggs and bringal are phenomenal. chilli is also very spicy, really good!
Salmon and Rendang Beef is decent, not worth the additional $6 and $3 respectively.
