We were having a late dinner and decided to try this as they had seats available. It feels similar to saizeriya concept but with japanese fusion food. Food was overall not too bad and i loved the clams aglio olio pasta. Teriyaki pizza was thin and crispy too. Curry gyoza was way too salty though.
Staff serving us seems new, didnt give us the QR code so she said will help us order. But she ended up ordering wrongly but was quickly rectified by the manager. Food took awhile but was served hot.
May come back to try other dishes.

having to give one star for this diner does injustice to this very very disappointing dinner! Food took 35mins to come out. tomato soup was likened to tomato flavored water rinsed out of the pot. dried out paella together with a mushy prawn that was served broken. feedback on quality of prawn was blamed on prawn supplier. photos attached for your viewing. pricing on the high side. zero value. hope no visit required to the doctor.

If I could give zero stars, I’d do it faster than their kitchen can ruin a plate of pasta. I visited Milan Shokudo at Junction 8 with some work colleagues, and let me just say—what an experience. Not in a good way. Overpriced, underwhelming, and honestly, baffling.
We ordered the Basil Prawn Pasta, Bolognese, Duck Carbonara, and Pescatora (or something close—hard to remember when all of them tasted equally forgettable). The food? A tragic comedy. The Bolognese was basically pasta in tomato-flavored water, and the Basil Prawn Pasta? Imagine overcooked spaghetti sprinkled with a few wilted basil leaves and prawns that looked like they gave up halfway through cooking. Al dente? More like al-mushy.
And here’s the cherry on top—we were charged a service fee. For what, exactly? For the privilege of walking over to get our own drinks from the fountain? How generous. Truly revolutionary service standards here.
Oh, and let’s not forget the ambience: nothing says "authentic dining experience" like a stuffy room with a broken aircon. It was so hot, I started wondering if I’d accidentally walked into a sauna-themed café.
To add to the circus, while we were trying to make sense of the menu, one of the staff (an older gentleman on shift) decided it was the perfect time to crack a random joke—“If you like looking at photos, I bring my album ah!”... Right. Because unsolicited, uncle-tier banter is exactly what I was craving along with my sad spaghetti.
This entire experience felt like a parody of dining out. Expensive, bland, awkward—and I’m still trying to figure out how this place is still in business. Unless you're actively seeking disappointment on a plate, I suggest you spend your money elsewhere. Or just microwave something at home—you’ll probably enjoy it more.

Keep walking past this shop and wondered to myself why does this store deserve 2.9 stars. So we tried. We waited outside for seats when seats were available. I guess they are short-staffed. Finally got seated and ordered right away. We looked around and there were many tables waiting for their meals. It was dinner time. Rush hour? Guess what, our food came 30 mins later. Tomato soup was tasteless, please don’t bother. Carbonara was alright. Come here if you are not hungry and not picky.

Ordered the tomato sauce beef hamburg set lunch and a meatball doria.
Meatball doria was a bit salty, but was OK since it came with rice. However the sauce was slightly watery.
Fries were less salty than last time. However, there are still quality issues with the food even after 2 years from my prior visit.
I received a raw hamburg steak which tasted of blood and the staff recooked it.
Overall, still surprised they have so many food quality issues years after opening.
For the money spent here, I would recommend sazeriya instead, where I could get a meal and a side for half the price I paid; 30.68

Surprisingly edible. It has that overdue instant noodle taste but in a good way. Portion is moderate although when it came I thought it was too small. I like it, serves as a quick lunch.
Atmosphere is nice, adapting, but a little noisy.
Will come again. 🥢 🥢 .

Sunday. Mother's Day. Lunch time with no crowd. We walked in because there were many empty seats. Perhaps this was a tell tale sign. Ordered a pizza and a pasta. Pasta came <15mins. The pizza is still not here yet at the time of posting - more than 40mins wait. This is really unacceptable. If the staff had forgotten our order, please have the courtesy to inform us about it. I had to ask different staff at least three times to check. It is really disappointing.
The consolation - pizza is well liked by kid. Pasta is so so.
Sorry but Saizeriya anytime.

Think the food served at this place is only suitable for kids and students. We ordered the smoked duck carbonara and tomato soup. Food came quite fast but tomato soup was so diluted and peppery that my son doesn’t even want to drink it after first spoon! There is no taste other than just peppery. Very disappointing. It’s the worst soup we ever tasted!

Trying for the first time. Ordered seafood paella (that prawn you see in the photo, 2 mini clams and 2 scallops). Didn’t have much expectations. Guess what, the prawn served was raw. You may zoom into the prawn. Have a good one!
Also, if I could give this place a negative, I would. Hopefully no food poisoning.

Visited with my 10 years old son. He was excited to try as it offered similar spread as his fave Saizeriya. We didn't check the rating, which we really should have. Ordered bolognese with poach egg and corn soup. The pasta came and we caught a whiff of smelly rag. The beef tasted gamey, the poached egg was broken and all over pasta, the corn soup was pathetically baby size. And we were joined by waving roach under the chair (see photo 2). It didn't deserve the 2.8 star rating at all. It didn't even deserve a 1.0.

Terrible dining experience! Added $1 for poached egg in the smoked duck cabonara but came with egg shell. Finished both pastas but the fries still haven’t arrive and the fries were so soggy and undercooked.

Poor food quality. The garlic focaccia is a joke! It’s plain balls of dough with burnt fried garlic on top! I’ve never seen such a dish ever. The corn soup is very salty & watery. Overall the other similar food concept restaurant S, wins in terms of food quality, taste & offerings for value.

The food there was quite bad in general (based on my own preferences and expectations), and the quality was a little not up to standard.
I see the reason why multiple comments are comparing them with saizeriya that is because;
1. Saizeriya is slightly cheaper
2. The portion of the food is more
3. Tastes better and there are more choices of food.
Few things that was unpleasant during my dinning there was;
1. There were a small piece of the green scotch brite and a stick resembling a tree branch was found on the pasta.
2. The pizza dough was undercooked as the texture was gummy-like and it looks quite translucent. (However, server told me it was just oily).
Few things to compliment is that;
1. Server apologised after I feedback about the foreign objects found on the pasta
2. Offered to have the kitchen make me a new pizza after I told them it was undercooked (despite she explained that it could be due to the oiliness).

Chance upon this Jap-fusion pasta restaurant in J8 and it’s delicious! Order the Thai fusion pasta and noodles are perfectly al dente, soaking up a luscious, spicy-coconut broth, while plump shrimp and clamps add protein and depth. Thai basil gives it that final herbal lift. It’s creamy yet zesty, fiery yet comforting!

My wife recommended this place to me after eating here a couple of times. The place is welcoming with a calming decor. It is a great place to have a scrumptious & filling meal, priced reasonably. I think it is a very family friendly place too. The best part is the refillable drinks at only $3.90.
