Went on a friday evening for dinner, had a very different experience from the customers next to us. aside from the engawa spicy mayo sushi and spicy karage, the rest of the food was a struggle for me and i eat most food. the akaebi garlic butter was the worst and final straw for me - it tasted off like either the oil was off, or they used margarine instead - i got nauseous eating that. the ebi fry sushi has wasabi inside - WHY ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. the spicy karage sauce also had wasabi in it - need i say more? this was not for me and i would not be going to genki again

Food was good and consistent. Do be prepared to wait 30mins and up during peak hours but service was fast! Food does come pretty quickly.
Personally felt that the counter seats were too packed, absolute no privacy and can’t talk in peace. The people beside keeps knocking into me and there were several times their saliva came out and landed on my bill :’)

Nice food as always, service is good and staff are friendly and full of smiles. Also appreciate that they are always bringing in new seasonal menus so it keeps things fresh and exciting. Highly recommend trying the Maze Soba, Beef Sushi and Garlic Ebi, both are super yummy! Environment is clean and welcoming as well. Will be back!

Finally got to try the new items! à§( "Ì® )à¨âœ§
I ordered from the new Gokaimori series this time, and the Akami Gokaimori was especially fresh and sweet — absolutely delicious. The Tori Paitan Ramen really exceeded my expectations; the broth was so rich and flavorful. But my top favorite is still the Spicy Maze Soba — a must try!! Hope these can stay on the menu for good!

It's really nice to come to Genki in Bishan, especially when you come for lunch or dinner after a hard day at work and the employees remember you and give you a nice smile and welcome, as Edwin and Elisa did today. It does help to start my meal in the right mood.

Incredibly fresh sashimi and thick-cut salmon! On top of that, Susan provided exceptional service—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Tried the weekday lunch set at Genki Sushi and went for the All Salmon Set at $13.90. It came with maze soba and a salmon sushi platter (Salmon Black Pepper, Salmon Mentai, Salmon Spicy Mayo, Salmon Spicy, Salmon Gunkan, and Yaki Salmon). It offered great variety for salmon lovers. I also added salmon sashimi, tuna gunkan, and miso soup for a satisfying lunch. It was pretty value-for-money if you stick to the set. I would return for another round!

Compared to a few years ago, Genki Sushi used to be pretty good. Maybe after securing some market share, things just took a nosedive. Today’s dining experience was quite disappointing — honestly, it felt like I was back in polytechnic, waiting for my queue number with all the 'ting dong, ting dong' announcements.
