The 雷茶饭 at the stall in Bishan Junction 8 Food Court is a delightful and authentic Hakka dish. The perfectly cooked rice pairs well with fresh, finely chopped vegetables and nuts, creating a pleasing blend of textures and flavors. The aromatic herbal tea broth ties everything together, offering a unique and satisfying taste. They also offer a variety of soups. Prices are also reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly, enhancing the dining experience. For those seeking a nutritious and flavorful meal, this 雷茶饭 at Bishan Junction 8 Food Court is a must-try.

Here's the lightly edited review: 5/5🌟 - "What the Fish" - Tried both Garlic and green pepper base, whole Limbo fish for $20.80 each. Taste, portion, and price are 👍. The auntie is also super patient and friendly when taking orders and giving recommendations. 4.8/5🌟 - "Korean Fried Chicken" - Tried the Garlic Soy flavor. The chicken and fries🍟 were juicy and flavorful, but the sauce was a little too salty. 4.8/5🌟 - "Mala Xiang Guo" right beside "What the Fish". Taste, price, and portion are 👍 too.

Mala Xiangguo: I ordered mostly meat and some bean sprouts. The lady charged me $2.80. I asked, "Bean sprouts are $1.80 per 100 grams as a vegetable, so why charge me $2.80?" She said bean sprouts are considered a mushroom. I told her I didn't want them. She said bean sprouts are a type of mushroom and that they were already mixed with the meat water, so they couldn't be put back. I insisted I didn't want them. The "cheap bean sprouts are mushrooms" statement lost my trust.

Here's the edited review: This is why I come to Food Junction. The stalls here are not cheap, and this is the only stall I come for; even though it may not be often, I still come and order from this stall. Go order from this stall! Popoki Nasi Lemak and the Beef Rendang Set are delicious. I will come back here again to eat at this stall.

Missing ChongQing food, I went to order the Mala version of the grilled fish. Ordered half a fish from the grilled fish stall. The Mala spicy version is no way near the Mala version from ChongQing. It’s more fragrant, and its spiciness is tapered to the local version of Mala. The fish is fresh and tasty, served in a generous portion. Will revisit!

🌟 Bishan Junction 8 Food Discovery: First Taste of Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles! 🍜 Today, I stumbled upon a new eatery at Bishan Junction 8 food court and tried their Wuhan hot dry noodles. The noodles were aromatic, coated with homemade sesame sauce and topped with pork and diced carrots, offering a deliciously layered flavor. 🥢 Besides the noodles, their spicy meat sauce, sesame chicken wings, juicy chicken drumsticks, and nuggets were incredibly tasty and a must-try. Overall, it was a great culinary experience, perfect for anyone looking to spice up their taste buds. 🍗✨

Extremely bad attitude and behaviour. We were at Junction 8 (Food Junction) just to buy 2 cans of drinks when we were scolded by staff named Auntie Tan Guek Ing and Auntie Bing. They were the two cashiers at the counter on 10th June 2025, 8:15 PM. We waited for 20 minutes to be served. We were there first. But your staff were serving other customers without any order. Bad service.

Had the Beauty Nutritious Soup - ABC soup ($6) which was sufficiently tasty – not amazing, but not bland. Meat was rendered and fell off the bone easily. Decent serving of carrot and potato, with huge cuts. I got the Thunder Tea Rice – an add-on for $4 (U.P. $6.20) only with a soup purchase. Rice portion was huge with a decent amount of ingredients. Not the tastiest meal, but it filled a hungry man's stomach well (with a good nutrition spread, I guess) for a total of $10. Lower scores for service and atmosphere because... it's a food court – let's be real. Would eat again.

DO NOT recommend the Xiao Man Niu Mala (located at the end of the foodcourt). There was a lack of pricing transparency and integrity because they charged the frozen prawns (with tails) as "Assorted Ball" for $1/pc instead of "Seafood" for $4.50/100g. Guess what, the prawns were not even 100g (see the photos).
