Has been my go-to haircut spot for the past few years, but the recent haircut consistency and quality has gone down terribly. Will not be paying for another ruined haircut. There are cheaper and better quick-cut salons in the area.

I had my hair cut on the afternoon of July 28, 2023, and had to trim a portion of my hair the next day due to the bad haircut. The person also knocked his scissors against my head several times. Haircuts at EC House used to be good or decent, but they are now simply the worst. This will be my last visit to EC House.

Used to be good but had a disappointing cut today. I asked for 2 inches to be cut off, U-shape bottom with layers. The result looked like a thick chop-off, so I asked the hairdresser if she could thin the bottom part of my hair A LITTLE. I emphasised A LITTLE twice. The hairdresser went way overboard, and I ended up with a V-bottom shaggy haircut that's at least 4-5 inches shorter than my original length. She did a pretty careless job with my fringe. Though she was polite enough to ask if I would like her to rework my fringe, I was so traumatised by the entire haircut that I told her I will "fix" my fringe on my own when I get home. I took so long to grow out my hair hoping to curl it in a couple of months, only to have her chop it off with a shaggy cut beyond repair. A middle-aged professional with a shaggy haircut is really not the best look. Sigh.
Ending note: I thought long and hard about leaving this review. It's not my intent to condemn the hairdresser. She may be better with men's or children's haircuts. At least she was polite throughout. But when a hairdresser does not understand the assignment the first round, I should have known better not to request a fix. Expectedly, the "fix" will only be worse. If you get a bad haircut too, my advice is to just walk out while the damage isn’t worse.

Horrible. The stylist shaved my sides even when I told him I wanted a medium cut, and I got bullied at school.

Nope nope nope. I’m sorry, but she ruined my hair. I have a longish pixie, and in an effort to layer it, she trimmed the underlayer way too short, and now I have all these ridiculous short hairs sticking out!!! NOPE

Took my son for a haircut today. He was crying non-stop and struggling. The male hair stylist was very patient and calm throughout the entire process. He did a good job despite my son struggling non-stop. I want to say a big thank you to him again! 👍

Had my hair cut by Yurika Peh today. She was very friendly and polite and gave me some useful advice on hair care. I also love the end results. It made my day. Thank you! However, I can't find her name on the EC House website. I'm not sure how to get my hair cut by her again next time. Can someone advise?

I had a haircut today around 9pm. Kerine was so kind and patient! She cut my long hair really well into a shoulder-length layered cut, and she even gave advice on how to maintain my hair. :)
It was affordable and worth the money, better than some salons I’ve visited! I will definitely find her again when I visit this EC house.
