I've always bought dumplings here. However, the service is getting worse. They used to heat up dumplings, but now the staff says there's no heat-up service. I ended up buying cold and hard dumplings. The dumpling quality is also getting worse; most of the glutinous rice was not fully cooked, and the inside of the dumplings was hard and raw. I will not buy again and will not recommend.

I went there on an afternoon, and there was only one lady managing the store by herself. She was very friendly and hardworking, but the kueh I bought felt like it was inedible.

I’m a little confused as to why $3.50 for 5 Tutu Kuehs is restricted to only two flavors when the effort of making them is the same. That’s fine if it’s the company’s policy, but is it too much to ask for proper signage indicating this and for staff to be trained to explain it properly instead of giving me grief? I know I should not be so worked up over $3.50, but hey, I didn’t start it. Tutu Kuehs are OK, thankfully.

Here's an edited version: We were not expecting the exact same flavors as our Nyonya grandma's zhang dumpling. Earlier, we bought 3 mini ones. They had a fresh, nice fragrance, 五香味 (five-spice flavor), and were meaty, but to be honest, the rice was not thoroughly cooked. :(

My aunt and I disliked the impatient attitude of the seller at the Junction 8 outlet. My aunt wanted to buy rice dumplings tied with woven string instead of raffia string. When my aunt saw a rice dumpling tied with woven string at the retail counter, she asked the seller what the filling was and received a rude reply: "You just need to tell me what filling you wanted." Her attitude was very upsetting.

Tried to place my order with a Vietnamese store assistant at Junction 8 mall. She was very busy talking on the phone with her friend loudly on speakerphone. I had to wait for her to respond or realize my presence. This never ended; she got distracted while taking my order while her friend was still talking at the other end.

Peanut Tutu kept falling apart, but still tasted nice. The Gula Melaka was pretty decent, but a little too sweet for my taste.

Bought 2 bak changs from Junction 8 branch 2 hours ago. The rice grains are still uncooked, and the pork is so hard that I couldn't even bite into it. The insides of the bak chang are even worse. How could they charge $3.80 and $4.50 with such quality?!

Usually when I am in Bishan, I get myself the Gula Melaka Tutu Kueh. Not many places in Singapore have this anymore, and I love the texture of the kueh and the fragrance of gula Melaka. Ironically, I haven't tried their dumplings.

Scrumptious and affordable freshly made tutu kueh in various flavours. Seller is better at Mandarin than English, and did not catch that I wanted one chocolate-filled one, but we enjoyed the peanut and coconut ones anyway.
