We had a meal at Ajisen Ramen in Junction 8 and it was an average experience. The ramen was decent—flavors were alright but nothing particularly memorable.
Unfortunately, the side sushi was a letdown—it tasted dry and not very fresh, which took away from the overall meal. Service was fine, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations.
Might return for a quick bite, but wouldn’t go out of the way for it.

below average ramen store. i ordered the tonkatsu ramen. first, the tonkatsu ramen wasn't hot so i know they precooked it. ramen broth was so salty. i literally still feel thirsty after 6 hours despite taking water and my mouth felt so dry. noodles were ordinary, it wasn't that good. and they couldnt cook the hanjuku egg to make it orange. the pork was really tough and overcooked. though its considered a cheaper ramen store, and the prices aren't expensive, i wouldnt come back to patronize here lest my options are like super super limited. good thing here is that they give cashback so everytime you spend, you can claim money back and its cheaper. you also earn points and you can probably earn vouchers.

Have been a regular customer but the portion seems to be a lot smaller than before. Didn’t took the ramen when it was served but this was after one scoop. The two sides were served after we were done with the ramen and the Thai fish cake looks super tiny.

The egg was cold, and the cuttlefish was cold and hard, as if it had been cooked and left out for a long time. When I gave feedback, they told me my order was from 15 minutes ago, which is why the food had cooled down. However, the texture of cold food is noticeably different. As a regular customer of Ajisen Ramen, I know how the food should taste, so there’s no need to explain it to me.
And hello, 15mins on the order paper was the time I ordered, not from the moment the food placed on my table!!!! And the waiter was rude.
I won’t be returning to this branch again.

I ordered ala-carte Ajisen Ramen at 1232 hours, but my order only came at 1257. My friend sitting opposite me has almost finished her food already...

My colleague and i hv a lunch here, lunch set menu so value n feel so full for two of us. But having lunch here feel a bit hot seems air con not function well, especially when we order ramen soup n some fried snack may affect appetite a bit.. Overall, set lunch is worth just that vibe need to improve a bit.

Have not had Ajisen for many years. Ordered the usual cha shu ramen & tom yum karaage ramen. Both tasted good. Side dish were fresh and tasty too. Set comes with drink as well.
Downside is the environment of the shop is quite run down, especially the sofa seats. It looks quite dirty which made me hestiated to sit. I sat on the other chair instead.

Came on the 1st day of chinese new year for lunch. Their food portions have shrunk considerably over the years.. Luckily now they have free noodle top up for those w hearty appetite.. The normal portion + the side dish and tea set is enough for me. My husband had the noodle top up and it was just nice amount for him. The volcano soup is a little too salty, otherwise all is good

Ajisen Ramen at Bishan offers quick, satisfying ramen with rich broth and tender toppings. Good for a casual, fuss-free meal.

Doesn’t look like much but honestly great tasting food for a ramen chain. The gyozas were surprisingly good. Not to mention the chijimi. Of course not to forget my favorite ramen at ajisen, the volcano ramen. That garlicky spicy broth just gets me every time. Their noodles are rarely overcooked which is why ajisen is criminally underrated.
The tables are packed so closely together at this branch that it sucked any kind of good atmosphere out of this place but the food does its job.

My family are regular customers of Ajisen Ramen! I always love the Vegetable Ramen! The food is value for money! A young female staff served our table this evening. She was genuine and polite! Hard to find these days!

Ordered the scallop ramen. Love the noodles but the scallops are overcooked and the soup is too salty.
I went there during lunch time so it's pretty crowded. Servers are prompt despite of the crowd.

Haven’t tried Ajisen ramen for >10 years. Feels a bit nostalgic. But happy to find taste hasn’t changed. Ramen with a local twist of flavour. QC is good. Noodle texture is just right. Soup is tasty but not too salty. Bean sprout with noodle add more a crunch to the bite. Soft bone rib is a true bonus. Chicken karage may not look very presentable but kids still love them. Most important of all, bill came out very friendly at this time of inflation economy. Will come back again!

Located at B1 Junction 8, near the gantry to MRT. The food was okay (we're expecting more). The overall experience is not bad. You have an iPad to order and they have a great deal for the meal set. The ambiance is quite good. You can enjoy talking and eating for some time. The place did get a little crowded when we came.
We ordered
- Volcano Ramen (extra cha shu)
- Spicy Cha Shu Ramen
Both of them were marked as spicy, but we didn't feel it was spicy enough.

My colleague and I had lunch here. The lunch set menu was such good value, and we felt so full. But having lunch here felt a bit hot, as it seemed the air conditioning wasn't functioning well, especially when we ordered ramen soup and some fried snacks, which affected our appetite a bit. Overall, the set lunch was worth it, but the vibe needs a bit of improvement.
