Wow! I had dinner last night at 4Fingers J8. The fried chicken with hot sauce and kimchi fries really tasted good. It was very fresh when I bit into it. I really enjoyed it. And the counter staff (Jeeva) was very polite and friendly taking orders, even on a busy day. I was very happy with her service. I will come back again ❤️ Good job, team! Keep it up.

The selection of crispy drumlets, winglets, drumsticks, and cutlets, available with different sides, and their box combos, offers value for money. The batter that coats the chicken is light and consistent and doesn't leave a greasy aftertaste. The savoury-sweet Soy option is my go-to flavour!

I ordered the Signature Mix regular meal ($11.90), which included 3 wings, fries, and a drink. The chicken skin was flavourful, but the meat was bland. The seaweed fries were average. The chicken tasted better when hot. It was not as good when cold. The standard has dropped over the years.

4Fingers has always been our first option when we crave chicken. Its branch in Junction 8 is very cozy and cool. The food is tasty, worth the price, and served just in time. The friendly staff is also a plus. Highly recommended.

Food is good, but the soggy fries suck. Who in their right mind would tie up two packets of hot French fries in plastic? Even the paper bag holding the fries is wet and disintegrating.

If there were a 0-star rating option for this place, I’d honestly give it. Rubbish quality food. I ordered mine from Grab and made it a meal (thankfully, as I ended up eating just the fries). I specifically stated “mix,” but all the flavors given were soy. I’m so disappointed because I’ve been an avid fan of Korean fried chicken, but it seems like this outlet at Bishan was really a major red flag. Please don’t ever patronise this place.

Even though I've heard about 4 Fingers for years, this was my first visit to one of their outlets. Boy, even more than the fantastically cooked and tasty chicken I chomped down here, it was the unsurpassed service from the staff at this Bishan outlet that won my heart over. 😄 For my first order: Not wanting to be too adventurous on my first outing, I had the BFF Chicken Burger meal, which included a small serving of fries and a self-serve, non-refillable soda of choice. For an additional SGD 2, I added a plain, deep-fried chicken drumstick, which was not on the menu. The lightly salted fries were hot, crisp on the outside, and soft and mushy on the inside. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There was hope. Regarding the plain drumstick: Too hot to hold (which was a good sign for me), and too good to be eaten. 😂 The lightly salted flour coating was light but turned out crispy. Still piping hot, the collagenous, clear chicken jus oozed out to my pure delight—on the first bite, and again on the second and third bites. Personally, I had gone to chicken heaven. (Yes, better than McDonald's, KFC, and Texas Chicken, and on par with Popeyes and Jollibee.) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was a shame I didn't take any photos. 🥴 For my second order: On recommendation from the floor manageress, I tried 4 Fingers' latest seasonal, extra-spicy Mala deep-fried 3-piece chicken drumsticks with rice. Presented in an army mess tin—gosh, I hadn't seen one for at least 30 years!—the Mala deep-fried chicken was a bit of a letdown. While it was spicy, from my perspective, it was merely spicy; the quintessential Szechuan 'Mala-ness' that most people are familiar with (yes, including Malays with the very popular Halal Lanzhou Beef Noodles) was ABSENT! The rice, which was extremely well-cooked and semi al dente (a North Asian variety), unfortunately, was drowned in too much of their house-made sweet soya sauce, making it too salty and sickeningly sweet to eat. Then came the saving grace—a 4 Fingers angel in disguise! 😂 The floor manageress asked me how my food was, and I shared my humblest opinion with her. Being gracious and accepting, she took my food and returned with another order—this time, with plain deep-fried chicken drumsticks and rice lightly drizzled with their house-made sauce. Once again, I died and went to chicken heaven. 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Throughout, not just the floor manageress, but the entire staff—attendants and cooks in the swelteringly hot kitchen—were extremely courteous. Thanks, ladies! ❤️❤️❤️ Good food, great people! These are signatures of success. P.S. Later, I learnt that the manageress I mentioned in my review above is actually a floor staff member. Her name is Nora. You know what? Kudos to Nora. She had no airs but treated me like she owned 4 Fingers. She knew the food offered at 4 Fingers well, coordinated her colleagues well, and was ultra-personable with customers. (To the management: If you feel that Nora shouldn't have switched my chicken, please do not chastise her for it. Instead, contact me, and I will happily pay for that replacement. Thanks!)

Tried the takeaway BFF burger combo for the first time today. The chicken was very succulent, and the bun was very nice and soft. The seaweed fries were also very tasty. The cashier and staff were very patient, even though we encountered some payment issues. They were apologetic for the hold-up, and I thought their service was fantastic.

A far cry from what they used to be. The chicken isn’t really crispy anymore and often has a layer of fat below the skin; the spicy chicken is also spicier than I remember it being. When they first opened in the Orchard area, the chicken wings were divine: crispy, with a satisfying crunch, no visible layer of fat, and really tasty. I still like the soy garlic flavour the most. I don’t frequent it much after the drop in standards several years back because now they just taste like any other Korean-inspired fried chicken.

This 4Fingers location is always my favourite. The taste has always maintained its high standard. The shop is well renovated, a lot better than last time. It's too bad the new menu doesn't have my 1 drumstick and 3 wings set anymore.
