NURSING AIDE / HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

Responsible in providing healthcare and patient care to ensure quality healthcare service standards are met by MDAS Care Services. The Care Services comprise of Home-Based Care and Centre-Based Care.

1. Provide personal and hygiene care in activities of daily living

2. Handle lifting and transferring of care-recipients

3. Logistic setup of activity rooms and equipment; ensure a clean & safety environment surroundings

4. Monitor vital signs; assist in toileting, feeding and food preparation

5. Assist in therapy sessions including individual and group exercises and transfers

6. Provide support during emergencies and incidences

7. Prepare documentation and submit reports

Technical Competencies:

· Possess a Higher NiTEC or WSQ Certificate in nursing care or healthcare

· Minimum 2-year patient care experience in community care

· Able to handle physical lifting and transferring of heavy persons

· Familiar with MS Office (word and excel) is an advantage

· Able to prepare simple reports

Core Competencies:

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Good bedside manners

· Good in teamwork, multi-task and time management

· Passion in caring for persons with severe physical limitations

· Fast learner and able to work independently

· English and Mandarin speaking to interact with care-recipients

Preferred achievements/characteristics:

· Experience working in community care or home-care setting

· Experience in taking care of people with physical limitations is an advantage

· Ability in handling lifting and transferring

Location: Central (Island wide for Home-Help Service)

Working Hours: Monday–Friday (9am to 6pm) & one Saturday (half day) per month

No shift work required

Salary: $1,840 - $2,300

Annual Leave: 14 days per year

Medical & Dental Fees: S$500 per annum
